Higher Sales. Better Business?

Commercial performance with revenue, profit, segments and countries.

Tuesday, October 27, 2026Platform-neutralHealth · Development · Business Intelligence

Your analytical mission

Does greater revenue correspond to stronger profitability?

This is a storytelling challenge, not a test of how many visuals you can create. Investigate the central question, choose evidence that answers it, and explain why the findings matter.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Create aggregate revenue, total profit and profit margin = total profit / total sales.
  2. Compare sales and profit margin by segment.
  3. Show the segment with the highest revenue and the segment with the strongest margin.
  4. Explain one trade-off and propose one question for management.

Scope and data preparation

Use no more than three charts and one primary slicer.

Expected deliverables

  1. One-page mini-dashboard containing 3 KPIs and 2–3 visuals.
  2. At least one derived measure and an explanatory insight.
  3. Short metric definitions and data citation.

Label charts clearly and cite the dataset and extraction date. Tell us which tool you used.

Quality guardrail

Treat zero or negative sales denominators explicitly; distinguish margin from profit amount.

Required story structure

Question → Evidence → Interpretation → Action. Include a concise evidence-led title and a limitation where relevant.

Traffic measurement & privacy

We count public page views to improve this website. Our analytics database stores daily totals by page and approximate country—not individual visits, IP addresses, form details or browser identifiers. Hosting providers process network requests under their own retention policies. We do not use this measurement for advertising or session recordings. Totals are retained for 90 days.

This does not measure unique people or connect your browsing into a journey. You can exclude this browser below. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
